Engagement and pre-wedding photography.

Spend a little time together before the wedding. A pre-wedding session gives you space to relax, try gently directed portraits and make photographs in a place you love.

Choose somewhere that feels like you

A familiar walk, a place from your story or a setting with room to move can all be a starting point. Check photography permissions and opening times before settling on a public garden, private venue or indoor space.

Plan for comfort

Wear something you can walk and sit in comfortably. Discuss a change of outfit, sheltered alternatives and what happens if the weather makes the session impractical.

A session can also help you understand how portrait direction feels before the wedding. Tell the photographer what makes you comfortable and what you would prefer to avoid.

A few things worth asking

Your questions, answered.

What is a pre-wedding photoshoot?

A pre-wedding photoshoot is a portrait session for the two of you before the wedding day. It gives you photographs together outside the wedding schedule and a chance to become familiar with portrait direction.

Do we need to have our wedding booked first?

Include your plans when you enquire, whether you have booked your wedding coverage or are exploring a separate session. We will confirm availability, the session price and any connection to a wedding quotation.

We feel awkward in photographs. Can you help?

You do not need to know how to pose. Our approach includes gentle direction for couple portraits, with room to move and talk together. Tell us what feels uncomfortable and which photographs you like, so we can plan around you.
